Golden Goat

Tinkling,
an idea drops from the sky-
wafted along by a beautiful haze 
of creative reasoning
and intellectual pondering.
Jingling like a pocket full of change,
it rockets and rattles
around my head
creating chaos and order
in equal parts,
until equilibrium equates the illusion 
of momentum,
and settles down,
nestling deeply within the loamy thoughts
that cover the sedentary grains 
along the bottom
of the currents of passion
flowing straight through my brain,
planted
and rooted,
to grow and blossom
beneath the rays of inspiration,
and the golden light cast within.
