OMG OMG OMG!!!! I love my friends!!
The exciting news is my ex-coworker (walmart laid me off) and friend invited me over the past two days to his house, and he showed me and then GAVE ME to borrow long term- a Wacom tablet, and a copy of photoshop!!! He said it was an investment in my future, and that he just wanted to use the tablet occasionally.
I love my friends... :')
On other home fronts-
----I am engaged to be married! my boyfriend of a year proposed to me this last december, making me very happy. I lost the ring however, but don't worry, it wasn't a real diamond or real gold and such. I honestly need to get a new one, but since I have no job atm, its really hard to do that. I bought him his ring, but I got it in a half size too big for his finger, so he wears it around his neck on a chain.
----All my friends have moved away to different parts of the city, and now it is depressingly far to go see them. (I used to be able to walk rigth across the street for three of them >.<)
----I am running out of brain energy to write more, so have fun, and catch ya later!
(oh and the demented disney darlings series I have to wait to do more on later, since someasshole stole my artbook at mcdonalds two months ago, taking all my notes on that series with it. > )

SOOOO EXCITED!!!! :D
So the most amazing thing happened this week!
A while ago, at my old job, I met a customer who ran an art gallery, and was looking for artists to feature for her "Comics and Animation" exhibit. She said that she would call me when it was close to the exhibition opening, and three weeks passed. When she finally called, I had forgotten all about it, making me very excited.
I went in and showed them my art- and instead of the 3 spots they promised, they are giving me EIGHT ENTRIES!!!!!
I am so freaking EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too...Many...Unfinished...
Such is my art style apparently-
*scribbles down great idea* yes! a brilliant idea!!
*Inks new idea carefully* Yes! It's still a great idea!!
*goes to color the newly inked thing* What the HELL was I thinking?
Argghhh! I really wish I could color faster. I have all these inked and finished line arts, but hardly any COMPLETED colored drawings. I love being able to draw (mostly) what I imagine, but actually finishing them is a struggle sometimes. I always seem to have a gigantic backlog. :'( And I know if I rush the coloring, I will screw it up and regret rushing it. *sigh*
OH MY GOD YESSSS!!!
So this week, a unique opportunity came up at my college. I was in art class when my teacher announced that her colleague was looking for some art to possibly be submitted to a local gallery hosted by the school. She said its no guarantee, but submit your best three pieces, and he will take a look at them.
Fast forward to yesterday.
I had submitted three pieces (Lady Koi, Wishing, All the King's Wars), and almost completely forgotten about the gallery submissions. Then, as I am walking to class, I passed a little art shop. IN THE WINDOW DISPLAY WERE ALL THREE OF MY PIECES.
I nearly cried I was so happy!!!
The best part was in art c
How things work around here :)
I recently talked to one of my dear friends, who asked me a very interesting question. He asked me why I uploaded so infrequently, and why he always saw halfway done artwork pieces in my folders every time he came over. I almost laughed and called it absurd and then realized, I really do have a haphazard way of working on art.
So, I started asking myself why? Why can't I stay focused on a piece, see it through til the end?
I had a very simple answer- Because I would get bored! It seems weird to even me, but I am a mind that loses interest in things that are too repetitive. Now, I do a LOT of detail sometimes,so it makes sense to me that I
